Vamos Village Traditional Destination
Between Chania and Rethymnon, in the beautiful rolling foothills of the White Mountains and only a short distance from the northern Cretan sea, is the traditional village of Vamos, with a rich cultural heritage.
t was in 1995 when a group of friends established Vamos Traditional Village Company with the aim to promote the area and share their love of their region and their feelings for the tradition with a wider population. The project was to organise activities that would highlight the image of the forgotten Crete - an image very different from the one perceived when visiting the busy tourist resorts.
